I thought SUGAR was bad for you?Sugar is in many of the foods we eat. For example, fruits contain fructose. Milk contains lactose. And what we typically refer to as table sugar, or sucrose, derives from cane or beets. The body uses sugars like fructose, lactose, and sucrose in order to convert them to glucose to use as energy. The sugar in our products is intended to provide you with a taste you will enjoy along with the energy your body needs. Among the recommendations made by the WHO (World Health Organization), the one with the most evidence advises reducing the intake of refined sugars (natural or added) to less than 10% of the total caloric intake in children and adults. An average person should only consume between 45-60 g of sugar per day, based on a diet between 1800 and 2500 kcal per day. Formula 1 provides between 5 and 9 g of total sugars per serving.
